GUIDED FISHING Have you considered a fishing break to Loch Lomond? it is the largest body of fresh water in the UK and quite daunting when you fish it for the first time. Why not book a fishing trip on the Loch with an angler who has 30yrs+ experience fishing on the Loch. Our specialty is Downrigger Trolling and we catch Pike, Salmon, Perch and Big Brown Trout. Our boat is a 16ft Orkney Longliner and can take up to two guests. All Tackle Rods Reels lures etc are included in the price there is no need for you to bring anything other than suitable clothing to cope with the Scottish weather which can range for Snow to Sun even in the same day. If you want to bring your favorite lures or other items of tackle to try out you are welcome to. The Price of a days fishing (9 am to 5 pm) is £75.00 a cooked lunch at a stop off on one of the islands is included. Macfarlanes Boatyard Balmaha Launching point for fishing trips. And for this year 2008 due to the interest from anglers coming up from England we are starting a 2 day Fishing package. All you have to do is book yourself a cheap flight to Glasgow airport and book accommodation in Balmaha and you will be collected from the airport and taken to Balmaha. The following links are for accommodation that are within minutes of the Boatyard they range from B&B's to an Inn that has Cottages through to Bunkhouse accommodation, the Inn also has excellent Bar meals and serves a good Pint. The price of a 2 day break that includes fishing and Airport pick up and drop off is £230.00 and that is for up to 2 anglers. The method of fishing is Trolling where we can expect to catch Pike, Salmon Seatrout, Perch and Brown trout, you will have to buy yourself a day permit for fishing at £15.00 per day. As it is unlawful to fish for Salmon in Scotland on a Sunday any Sunday trips will be solely for Pike, trolling with Big lures and Deadbaits.
