Flashers and Attractors

A range of Flashers and Dodgers that are suited to UK fishing they are not the large 12" flashers used in the USA they are scaled down a bit to suit the generally smaller fish we have over here. Also in the UK we anglers have to get over the shock of sticking something like this on our like and  not worry that we might be scaring the fish rather than attracting them. They do work and have produced Brown Trout to 12lbs from our boat and  other boats have had success with them as well.
 Attractors also bring fish in to your "Spread" they might come into look at the attractor but then hit one of the other lures as it flashes past them.

Spindoctor Flashers

Spindoctors are a rotating Flasher  it spins in a wide arc giving the Fly Lure or Bait behind a "whipping "rolling action through the water. Spindoctors are one of the top producing flashers in use in the Great Lakes. Price£9.99  

 

Luhr Jensen Dodger

A Dodger gives the fly or bait a  side to side swishing motion through the water the flash also attracts fish in to have a look to see what all the commotion is about. The leader for the lure or fly should be one and a half times the length of the dodger, so with this size of Dodger you want the lure 1 foot back .The size 0 dodger is 8" long by 2¾" wide and the colour is Ghost, a muted Silver finish.  One if the things  you think about when trying out something new like a Flasher and Fly  is   "How far do I put this behind the flasher and how do you use it". Lake Trolls

A string of 4 blades behind an anti kink vane, big and flashy put a lure or Bait 12 to 18" behind these to get fish coming to investigate the commotion, have proved effective for us  with Pike Perch and Salmon plus something in the Pass of Brander that  Straightened the hooks on a Rapala....it was the Big one that got away!!. Loch Trolls

A range of Trolling attractors that can be used with a Spoon a Crankbait or Cut-plug or a Deadbait  set 12 to 18" behind it. The blades  provide lots of noise and flash in the water  bringing the fish in to have a look, they will then see the bait/lure and have a go at it. We have landed Salmon ,Pike and Perch when using these as well as loosing "something big" in the Pass of Brander when it straightened the hooks on a Rapala.

The Antikink vane on the Loch Trolls allow you to add a weight (rubber band is the best method) to get your lures/bait down deeper if you want, a size 16 rubber band will hold up to a 1lb lead weight which should  get  you deeper than you will ever need.
