Rigs or Mounts for Deadbait trolling fall into 3
catagories, mounts that make the Bait Wobble, Roll or Spin.
A Wobbling mount
should keep the bait upright in a natural swimming motion so it looks lifelike
as it is trolled through the water.
Rolling mounts make the Bait Roll through
the water in a corkscrew fashion like a fish in its "Death roll"
either dying or wounded.
Spinning mounts keep the Baitfish in a straight
line but spinning as they are Trolled through the water it does not seem as
natural as the 2 other methods but it is and has been a highly effective method
for Salmon, Ferox and Pike for years, so who's to argue with a fish.

The Taimen Ustin is wobbler mount that keeps the baitfish
in an upright position and the clear plastic Saddle diving lip gives the
baitfish a natural swimming movement. It is available in two sizes the size 1 is
for minnows and small baits up to 75mm long and size 2 is for bait from 100mm to
150mm long, it is simple to use, you just push the spike down the baitfish's
mouth and swing the spike into the back of the bait fish and its ready to
use.

Stocker Wobbler System
This Bait holder allows you to quickly get a
baitfish ready for trolling. No bands, no pins you simply slide the fish on to
the bait holder and its ready to troll. It is available in 4 sizes suitable for
bait fish from 4" to14" long. Pictures below show how to rig up.

Rolling Mounts
Magnum Roller Heads
A Rolling mount will give you baits a corkscrew
rolling motion through the water. The Magnum head we sell are suitable for Herring
or Smelt up to 7" long. To mount the bait you push the fish into the bait
head and insert a cocktail stick through the head to hold the bait
in postition, you can also use the other end of the cocktail stick to hold
the hooks at the right length along the Baitfishes body.
Although the magnum head is built for Herrings, Trout in the 6" to
9" size range and other fish can
be made to fit the head by crushing the head of the bait fish so it can be
inserted into the Roller Head.
The Magnum Roller Heads are sold Rigged and
Un-rigged, the rigged ones are supplied with a 24" 30lb wire trace
with 2 Eagle Claw Treble hooks and a supply of toothpicks, it is ready to use
all you have to do is slide the bait fish into the mount and pin in place
with the toothpick, adjust the position of the hooks and jam the wire trace in
place with a bit of toothpick and its ready to go. Available in 2 colours Silver
and Clear with Red Prizm Tape.

Bechold Bullet Baitholder
Bechold Bullet fish holder, this is a hinged bait head that
clips over your fished head/nose region it has 2 fins that make the bait Spin as it is trolled through the water. It available in 2 sizes 4" to 6 "
bait fish and 6" to 12" bait fish. It is shown above rigged with an

UNRIGGED BULLET BAIT HOLDERS
A pack of 3 un-rigged bait holders that allow you
to fit your own hooks and swivels etc. Simply thread the bait holder through a
wire trace when making up and rig up the hooks of your preference Siwash or
Trebles. To rig up the baitfish simply open the holder and clip it onto
the nose of the fish and fix the hook positions by inserting a tooth pick into
the eyelet at the side of the holder and you are ready to go.
The smallest Bait holder will fit fish 4" to 6" long, the medium
will do 7" to 12 " long and the large size will baits from 12" to
16" long. (colours will vary from Orange,Green,Purple,Clear and Glow) If

DUTYS INVISIBLE MINNOW RIG
A Trolling Rig for baits up to 5" long
used in conjunction with the baiting needles (bottom of page) the needle is inserted into the baits mouth and out the vent and then the clip in double hook
is attached. There are wire prongs that hold the baitfish in position and a
spinner blade to provide a bit of flash and attraction. Price £3.75 each
INVISIBLE TROLLING RIG
A larger version of the minnow rig the Trolling
rig is suitable for baits from 5" to 8" in length Trout, Perch ,
Roach or any Baitfish. With the aid of a baiting needle you just insert the wire into
the mouth and out the vent and attach the clip on Treble. When you pull back on
the bait mount the two spikes lock the bait on internally, you then insert
the head and body hooks. When trolled through the water the blade at the head
gives plenty of flash and action to the bait. Price £4.75 each.
ANTI-KINK ATTRACTORS
When trolling with baits that roll, line twist
is always a problem unless you use an anti-kink vane or weight. Below is a
combination anti-kink weight and attractor blade. Place it a foot or two
ahead of your bait and it will stop line twist as well as giving a
bit of flash to attract prey fish to come and look at your bait. Available
in two sizes 1 oz and 2 oz.

This is a clear plastic baithead
that slides down your trace and fits over the fishes head and it held in
place with a toothpick, it is suitable for herring from 6" to 8" in
length and small Trout if you give the head a bit of a squeeze, there are
