Shallow Crankbaits or Minnows The lures we offer are our own tried and tested custom range of Trollscot custom painted Wide Wobbler and Killer Minnows alongside Challenger lures from the USA the range of lures will be growing larger so check back often to see what has been added. The Shallow divers are suitable for fishing from Downriggers, Leadcore, Divers and Flatline trolling.
Challenger minnows: New from the USA they are used extensively all through the Great Lakes for Salmon, Brown Trout , Steelhead and Walleye. Wide Wobbler Minnow: This is a Fat bodied 5" long Minnow it has a slow wide wobble to it when trolled, Hence the name Wide Wobbler they are sold individually or as a set of Brown Trout Patterns airbrushed to mimic the prey fish of certain Lochs.£5.00 each

Killer Minnow: This 5" long Minnow is similar in shape to the Yo-Zuri Minnow it has been responsible for some good catches of Ferox in Loch Lochy. It is available in a wide range of colours the most popular ones are shown here.£4.99 each
Bricean* Minnow: *Gaelic for small Trout, this is a shallow diving minnow 3½" long with internal rattles it has a great action in the water and should do well this year.£4.99 each
H J Minnow This minnow bait is as close as you can get to the sadly discontinued Jensen Lax one of the most sought after lures for Ferox Trout. It is the same body shape and style and has the same action in the water. They are Airbrushed in the same patterns as the Jensen Lax , it is 1" longer than the Lax but if it is half as good it will still be a great lure.£4.99 each
Suspending Power Minnow this 4" long minnow in Texas Red is deadly either casting or trolled, when trolled from planer boards it can be "stalled" when doing an inside turn where it will hang motionless in the water and then bust into life when put under power again, this is when fish will hit the lure as it "trys" to escape.£5.99 each
X-PLUGS
X-PLUGS are handmade and painted, available in two sizes 5"and 7" long turned from Scottsh hardwoods and impregnated with a plastic resin that makes them impervious to water they are fitted with stainless steel screw eyes and Eagle Claw hooks. They have a fantastic snaking swimming action through the water and should prove deadly on Ferox Trout and Pike. In the past wooden versions of the style of lure were plagued with poor paint jobs with the paint cracking and splitting often on their first use and they were pretty expensive £26.50 for a lure that fell apart!!, X-PLUGS are guaranteed not to split and shed their paint, each paint job is sealed with a tough Epoxy top coat. The Plugs have a seductive wiggle in the water and can be trolled at slow or fast speeds, we had a report from one angler who put one out for the first time and immediately had a Ferox Trout with the lure being in the water for less than minutes!!
